So we have a wonderful new app custom coded for Civil Requiem by THUNDERSTRUCK / NICOLE of Caution and Shadowplay! It's pretty straight forward but if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask!

Be sure to put your membergroup in where it say MEMBERGROUPHERE to ensure your app turns the right color! You may transfer your old app if you'd like but by no means do you have to do so. All new applicants, however, must use this app!

Our member groups are as follows: avengers, cad, civilian, enhanced, hero, villain, xmen. If you need help determining which member group your character is in, please ask a staff member!

NOTE: When using quick edit, jcink may cause the script that makes the toggle work to well, stop working. The code isn't broken, the page just needs to be refreshed!

powers&abilities

This can be paragraphs or bullet points depending on your preference. If your character doesn't have enhanced powers, think about their abilities - do they speak multiple languages, are they martial artists, do they have degrees? Think about what marks them unique here.

weaknesses&limitations

This can be paragraphs or bullet points depending on your preference. It is extremely important to give your character limitations and ensure that their powers have ceilings. With non-powered characters, this can be distinct flaws and hold ups. Pressure points are limiting in and of themselves - these are the things that get your character riled up, things that can be exploited.

NOTE: If your character has ten distinguishable strengths, then they need at least eight distinguishable weaknesses to counterbalance that. Please think beyond the 'only human' box. There are millions of limitations you can add to even the strongest of characters. From mental disorders to physical disabilities, to specific limitations such as a radius for a specific power. [Example: Your character can cast a psionic shield, but after four feet in diameter it weakens, and after seven it disintegrates.]

Think of ways to limit your character not only in combat but in day to day life, so they have something to overcome, something to work on, something to develop with. Characters are defined best by their flaws rather than their strengths, so we ask that people put some real thought into this section!

quirks/habits

those little things that make your character unique go here!

Freeform here!

While we do not have a preference for the format of your character, we do ask that you give us an in-depth view of how you intend to play them whether this be through various in-character vignettes, journal or newspaper articles, or a historical overview. Whatever you do, be detailed!

NOTE: If your character's storyline begins after the release of the Winter Soldier, we ask that you focus your canon around our site's plot, as opposed to future events. If your character's origin story begins after 2014, please speak with admins or, find a way to build your character's origin into the Civil Requiem storyline.

We are a reimagined world - there can be overlaps between Avengers and Xmen, there can be completely different story's told and that is what we encourage. If you are unsure how to work a future canon into the present storyline, you can take a look at Stephen Strange's application for inspiration or ask staff for ideas on how to intigrate. We want you to create the post 2014 character roster - not Joss, not the Russos, you. So lets see what you've got!
